We are using multi-pass for our upcoming January visit. Can I modify lightning lane reservations to add people when they become eligible? We have people arriving a day later to our WDW on-site hotel and would like to do rides with them. Thank you.

Welcome to planDisney, Bonnie! We must have a lot in common because we have trips to Walt Disney World planned for the same day. I just booked my Lightning Lane selections too, so I'm happy to walk you through how to modify them when the rest of your party becomes eligible.

Bonnie, while you can't modify a Lightning Lane selection to include new party members, there is certainly still a chance for you to all ride together. When it comes time to make selections for the remaining members of your party, choose times that line up within the window that you already have. For example, if you have a Lightning Lane return time for Na'vi River Journey between 10:00 and 11:00, the time you choose for the rest of your group can begin any time between 9:00 and 11:00 and you'll all be able to ride together at a time that overlaps.

If you're not able to find overlapping return times at the time of booking, don't fret! Lightning Lane return times can be modified all the way up until the time of use, and since people are changing their plans all the time, you never know what will happen between now and when you're ready to ride. Keep refreshing the My Disney Experience app as frequently as you're willing to and see what pops up that might allow you all to ride together!

I hope this answers your question, Bonnie, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
