We will be using Military passes for 2 days in March, do I need to purchase MaxPass in order to buy the military discounted PhotoPass Collection for the Digital downloads of all Disney PhotoPass photos?

Greetings, Mary, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you’re hEAR! We appreciate your family's service to our country. Plus, I always enjoy helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth

No, you aren’t obligated to purchase Disney MaxPass in order to purchase the discounted Disney’s PhotoPass Collection. Typically, this product can be purchased by showing your valid Military ID and your 3-day and 4-day Disney Military Promotional Ticket. Since you’re only using Military tickets for two days, I’m assuming you’re probably purchasing them on-base ahead of time. I spoke with a Cast Member, and they recommended stopping by Main Street Photo Supply Co. in Disneyland Park, or Kingswell Camera Shop in Disney California Adventure Park, to ask about making this purchase. As long as you can show proof of your Military tickets and your Military ID, you shouldn't have a problem.

The Disney PhotoPass Collection product includes:
-Digital downloads of all Disney PhotoPass photos in your account at time of redemption
-A voucher for a Dining Print Package
-A Disneyland Resort Gallery Disc, featuring more than 350 high-resolution professional photos from around Disneyland Resort

If you want to add Disney MaxPass to your theme-park tickets, you can still do so once you’re inside the parks by using the Disneyland app. Simply upload your tickets to the app, then add Disney MaxPass as soon as you enter the parks on a daily basis. MaxPass includes unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass images, which is a great value! Since you'll only be at the parks for two days, adding MaxPass may actually be a better value for you, since you'll receive the unlimited photo downloads, in addition to making digital Disney FASTPASS selections directly from your mobile device.

I hope this information helps, Mary. Wishing you a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort this March!
