We will be using Magic Bands and would like to leave our wallets/driver's license in the room. Will we be able to obtain an alcoholic beverage without showing our license since our age will be associated with our bands?

Hi Terri, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question.

MagicBands have made visiting the Walt Disney World Resort so much easier. It allows guests to travel lighter when visiting the parks. MagicBands unlock the door to your Disney Resort Hotel Room, allow you to access to your admission tickets to enter theme parks, redeem FastPass+ experiences and upload PhotoPass photos to your Memory Maker account.

Since you are a guest at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can have charging privileges set up to allow you to charge merchandise and food to your room account. Since it looks like you are planning to ditch your wallets during your trip, I would recommend taking your state-issued ID card or driver’s license with you. Your MagicBands are very powerful, however, a Cast Member cannot use them to tell if you are old enough to consume an alcoholic beverage. You will still need to produce a valid ID at the time you order. This is also a security measure to make sure that you are using your MagicBand since they are non-transferable. Keep in mind, if you are an annual passholder, you will need to produce a valid Id along with your Passholder ID card to receive any discounts you are entitled to.
