Hi! When using FP and Rider Switch, I’ve always booked FPs for everyone in my party, but the FP for the second adult never gets used because they ride using the Rider Switch pass. Should I only book FPs for the first party instead of everyone? Thanks

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Misty!

You must be an expert Walt Disney World Resort traveler because I'm pleased to tell you that you've been using Rider Switch and FastPass+ together correctly the whole time. If the first riding group wants to enter the attraction using the FastPass+ queue, then everyone in both riding groups must have a valid FastPass+. Rider Switch has recently gone fully digital, so the Cast Member at the attraction podium is able to check that everyone has a FastPass+ when you tap your MagicBand to get your return time. Of course, the first group can always use the standby line and the second group will still be able to access the FastPass+ entrance with their Rider Switch entitlement. That way you can prioritize your three daily FastPass+ selections for attractions everyone can ride together!

Since Rider Switch has been made even easier through its integration with your MagicBand and My Disney Experience, make sure you download the app before you arrive for your vacation. When you tap your MagicBand at an attraction, the return time will pop up in your plans so you can see it right next to all of the other things you're going to do that day!

I hope this answers your question, Misty, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
