When using FastPass+, do all members of my party have to be present? We have elderly people in our party on the same fast pass but they will not ride. Can they enter the fast pass que line and walk through and wait while the others ride? Thanks!

    Hi Jalon!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted to hear that you have a multi-generational trip planned!

Although those members of your party could walk through and not board the ride, given their age, they may not need to stand in the FastPass+ line at all. While the FastPass+ lines are much shorter than the standby queues, they are still lines and the walk to the ride boarding area could be long. If some members of your group are not going to ride some rides, I suggest cancelling those FastPass+ plans for them and either making different FastPass+ selections for attractions they will ride or making none at all. If you keep the FastPass+ selections and they do not use them, then, that could prevent someone else from making FastPass+ selections for those attractions.

I learned this lesson when taking a girls' trip with my mom, my girls, my mom's older sister, her daughter and her little girl. My mom and aunt decided not to ride some rides. Had I known that they would not ride, I would have canceled those FastPass+ plans to create some magic for someone else! My mom and her sister had a blast just sitting and waiting for us to ride. And, they were perfectly happy holding our stuff as we bolted off to different attractions!

Jalon, since it sounds like you have a larger group, be sure to make advanced dining reservations as well. Even if everyone does not experience the same attractions, you can catch up over a meal and hear about everyone's adventures!

    Magic and memories,
