When using fast passes and times expire is it possible to renew them as well?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Sabrina!

You're as welcome as can be to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm grateful for the chance to help as you plan your Disneyland Resort vacation.

Making good use of the Disney FASTPASS service is a great way to enhance your Disneyland Resort vacation. By using FASTPASS to join a virtual queue for your favorite attractions, you free yourself up to enjoy other experiences, such as dining, shopping, entertainment, and even other attractions.

When you make a Disney FASTPASS selection, you are given a specific period of time to return to the FASTPASS return queue of the selected attraction so you spend less time waiting in line for that attraction. You may find your assigned return time, usually a 60-minute period, printed on the FASTPASS reminder card obtained from the FASTPASS distribution point or listed in the Disneyland app if you have your tickets linked there. The reminder card and the app also indicate when you are eligible to make another FASTPASS selection. If the FASTPASS time you have selected occurs after the time you become eligible to make another selection, you will find that you may sometimes have multiple FASTPASS return times for different attractions at the same time!

Occasionally, even life on vacation can get a little busy. And making it back to your FASTPASS return time may be a bit tight. If you have a current FASTPASS return time entitlement that expires, you will normally be allowed to simply make another FASTPASS selection for that attraction or another attraction, subject to availability at that time. In some situations, you may find that the system will not let you make another FASTPASS selection for the same attraction because the system limits Guests to only one FASTPASS for a given attraction at a time. That may be a time to simply head over to the FASTPASS return entrance because the system considers your FASTPASS time valid still.

Tony's Tip: There is usually a short grace period built into the FASTPASS system. If you are only a few minutes late, you may still be admitted through the FASTPASS return entrance!

If you notice you won't be able to make it back in time for a FASTPASS return time, another option is to cancel and book another FASTPASS time. By canceling the FASTPASS time you most recently made, you can reset your eligibility to make another FASTPASS selection. If you have multiple FASTPASS return times stacked up, only canceling the FASTPASS you made most recently matters for renewing your general eligibility for FASTPASS, no matter the order for redeeming those FASTPASS times. You will still need to make sure that you only have one FASTPASS at a time for any specific attraction. Canceling a FASTPASS can only be done from within the Disneyland app, whether or not you have Disney MaxPass added to your tickets, or by consulting with a Guest Relations Cast Member.

Again, booking a new FASTPASS time is subject to availability. In some cases, you may find that the attraction of your original FASTPASS selection is no longer available for a FASTPASS time that happens to work for you. Not to worry though! The standby queue for the attraction is still likely to be an available option. And there is still so much more magic to be had at the Disneyland Resort!

I hope you have a Fantasmic! time at the Disneyland Resort, Sabrina! See ya real soon!
