MagicBand+ on Friends; Main Street; pairing

    I have been using my family’s account and had multiple magic bands under my name on my mother’s account. Now that I am an adult, I have my own account and I was wondering if I could link those bands to my own personal account.

    Hello Kylie! 

    Welcome to planDisney and the wonderful world of adulting while being a fan of all things Disney! I only really became a fan of visiting Walt Disney World Resort as an adult and it has given me a reason to seek magical moments every day. Adulting is hard but a Mickey Waffle is bliss. 

    It's very easy to get your managed account linked to your MyDisney account. You will need your mother to assist as she needs to log into her account and find your managed profile on her Family & Friends List.  Have her scroll to your managed profile and click on "Settings." The screen will now show "Kylie's Settings" and on the top right will be a link stating, "Share Planning with Kylie." It is there that she will enter the email address for your MyDisney account. You will now accept this invitation and all your plans and MagicBands should transfer over. 

    I was in the Parks the other day and I saw a person with one of the original MagicBands on his wrist. I was shocked as it is not clear if the battery life on these original bands last more than a few years. However, he was living his best Disney life with his original band. I don't know if he had some extra magical pixie dust energy but I suggest you not use any bands more than a few years old to avoid any problems. The newest generation of bands called MagicBand+ has a rechargeable battery and I hope to get many magical years of use with it.
