Using Disney transportation, what is the best way to get from the Yacht Club resort to the Contemporary resort for a 7:45 am character breakfast at Chef Mickey's?

    Hi William,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question.  Mmmm…I can taste the Mickey Waffles already and am drooling on your behalf!

My advice is to check with a Cast Member at the Front Desk at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, because they have the most up-to-date information about bus schedules and transportation routes, which are subject to change between now and your visit. Currently, the best way to get to an early Chef Mickey's breakfast reservation at Disney’s Contemporary Resort using Walt Disney World transportation is to take a Disney bus from your resort to Magic Kingdom Park and then walk over to Chef Mickey’s. The walk is very short - about five or ten minutes. While it’s not widely publicized, there are typically early buses running to accommodate Guests who have early breakfast reservations; your resort Cast Members will have those details.

Enjoy your stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, William! One of my favorite memories from my recent Walt Disney World vacation is from the night my family strolled around the Disney’s BoardWalk area, taking in the entertainment, and then visited the walk-up window at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for a No Way José sundae (I'm convinced that the hot peanut butter sauce is made by Sorcerer Mickey himself), which we shared while watching Epcot’s fireworks from the bridge. The resort is in such a fantastic location – be sure to soak in all the pixie dust!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
