When using the Disney Dining Plan... if my 2 year old daughter chooses to order her own meal (and not eat off my plate) are we required to pay for it at the restaurant or is the cost added to our overall Disney bill to be paid upon check out of the resort?

    Hi, Karen!

Thanks so much for sending your question to us at Disney Parks Moms Panel!

When visiting Walt Disney World, my family loves using a Disney Dining Plan, and we have done so since our kids were toddlers. Great choice!

While dining, if you wish to add anything to your order which is not included in your Disney Dining Plan entitlements, you have several options for payment of those additions. If you set up the ability to charge to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel account, you can simply use your MagicBand or card to add that extra charge to your room account. If you prefer to pay with cash or a credit card at the restaurant, you are welcome to do that as well. You'll do this same thing when paying for gratuities, which are not included in the cost of Disney Dining Plans.

Have so much fun planning your trip with your little one to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Karen! Be sure to check out this very useful Planning Guide for Parents of Preschoolers & Small Children, too.  Of course, as you think of more questions, be sure to send them our way. We love to help!
