When using Disney DAS it says scheduling is available during “normal” operation hours; how does early entry and extended hours affect this? And do you need to physically be in the parks to start utilizing DAS?

Welcome to planDisney Nathan. Thanks for stopping by with your questions about utilizing the programs in place to make your park visit inclusive and accessible.

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is a special time for everyone. Whether it is your first time or fiftieth time, planning your visit is very important. My last visit to Magic Kingdom Park was exciting, the morning walk down Main Street U.S.A. was an indicator of the busy day ahead of us. We anticipated this and made sure to purchase Disney's Genie+ Service to navigate our park day. In your case, you would want to make sure you contact Disability Access Service (DAS) at least 2 to 30 days before your park visit. You can utilize the DAS service during normal operating hours. During Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours for guests of Disney Resort Collection Hotels DAS will not be available. What you can do during your initial call is make 2 Advance Selections for each of your park days. So you will not have to worry about rushing to the park in the morning.

Magic Kingdom Park has so many new and fantastic experiences to share. TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise is a high speed coaster where you enter the grid. You will race to defeat the Programs, and help ensure victory for the users. The skies in Magic Kingdom also will light up nightly with the return of Happily Ever After. This wonderful heartfelt show has been back since April 2023 and you should be finding a good spot to watch from.

Have a great visit and make sure you get started early to set up your DAS live video chat. If you have any questions stop back by planDisney.com

    Have a magical day,
