Ahoy, Jerry! A
Disney Cruise Line vacation with a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort before AND after sounds like the most magical adventure ever! I have done a
Disney land-and-sea spectacular, but I think you have an even better plan!
While Disney transportation makes the connections between Walt Disney World and the port easy, parking at the resorts is limited to Guests who are staying there at the time. Unfortunately, you will not be able to leave your car there while you are aboard the most magical ship at sea.
Since you will have your car, driving to the port is the best option. It's a short and easy drive (about an hour) from Orlando to
Port Canaveral. There is a parking deck for Guests right by the check-in for your cruise. You can drop off your luggage, head to the deck to park and then walk to the port entrance with only your carry-on bags in hand. (Don't forget to keep your
required travel documents with you). You pay upon arrival, which makes for an easy departure. And a bonus: most spaces are covered, so your car stays cool.
With the early morning return to the port at the end of your cruise, you will likely make it to your second Disney resort before your room is ready.
Hakuna Matata! You can
park your car at that resort and use Bell Services to store your bags in a cool place while you enjoy the Most Magical Place on Earth. Whether you are headed to a theme park, Disney Springs or the resort’s amenities, you can park your car at the resort. If you prefer to get to a theme park as soon as possible, you also have complimentary access to those lots with your resort stay.
Jerry, I have no doubt you are going to have a magical time! If you have any other questions about any part of this adventure, please cruise back by
