I am using my dining plan to make reservations for charcter dining, my party consists of 2 adults, a 9 year old, a 3 year old and an 11 month old, do i make the reservation for 4 or 5, and if i make it for 5 will it deduct an extra meal if he is not eating

    Hello Kerri,

Looks like you are well on your way into planning a magical vacation at Disney. Character meals are great - for kids and adults!

When making dining reservations, my understanding is you are booking for seated adults and children. So I would make reservations for a party of four. If you speak to a Cast Member at 407-WDW-DINE, I would just mention to them you need a high chair for your little one.

The Disney Dining Plan (DDP) is not available for children younger than 3. But your little one can share from your meal at no charge. Just ask a Cast Member to bring an extra plate out for you. And to answer your question, you will won't be charged an entitlement until you order a meal. So nothing will be deducted for your 11-month-old.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
