Hi Melissa, and welcome back to planDisney! I love the Disney Dining Plan, so I’ve got you covered on this question!

With the Disney Dining Plan, tax is included but gratuity is not. As you mentioned, for parties of 6 or more, an automatic 18% gratuity will be added at each table service dining location. At the end of your meal, your server will provide you with the check, which will include this gratuity along with any other additional items you may have ordered (such as appetizers). You will have the option to pay with a credit card, gift card, or cash. You can also use your MagicBand+ if you have linked a payment method and had your resort hotel activate charging.

With the Disney Dining Plan, also be sure to make good use of those snack credits! One of my favorite parts of the dining plan is deciding which snacks to try in each park. We’re big fans of DOLE Whips® from Aloha Isle, School Bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, and absolutely anything from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie!
