When using the dining plan it always includes desert which I prefer not to have.  Can you have an appetizer instead and skip the desert?

    Hi Patricia,

Glad you stopped to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see you are busy planning a vacation for next December. It is a wonderful time to visit during the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort.

My family loves the Disney Dining Plans. It lets us leave our worries about meal budgets back home since we can prepay for our meals. There are different options, but we prefer the Disney Dining Plan which during 2107, it includes one Quick-Service meal, one Table-Service meal and two Snacks per person, per night of stay. Also, note that Table-Service meals include one entrée, one dessert and one non-alcoholic beverage, whereas a Quick-Service meal includes one entrée and one non-alcoholic beverage.

Those desserts are incredible, but sometimes we prefer to share. Sometimes, my boys have Snacks and are not too hungry at dinnertime. What we have done at times is order an appetizer as a meal, and pay for it out of pocket. We then used the extra Table-Service credits for a dinner show like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. You should definitely speak to your server for options when seated as they try to be as accommodating as possible.

One last tip: remember to book your dining reservations up to 180 days in advance of your Check-In. Just visit the Walt Disney World restaurants and reservations page. Happy planning!

    Ricardo.
