When using dining credits at a sit down table-service restaurant, can you choose to use a credit for a child under 3? E.g. If my family of 5 (2 adults, 2 children, 1 infant) wants to order 5 meals, can we? Knowing it will use 5 table-service credits?

    Hi Shana,

Glad you stopped by today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Is your vacation coming up soon? In any case, let me try to help you with your question.

Ah, the Dining Plans. My family loves them. No worries about how much money to bring for food or credit card bills when we get back home (except souvenirs of course) since you pre-pay for your meals. The only worry is which restaurants to choose from.

Dining Plan entitlements are not meant to be shared with other Guests not in your Resort room reservation. And this also applies to children under the age of three, because, even though they are part of the room reservation, they do not receive meal entitlements, as they can share food from their parents. When your server scans your MagicBand, he or she will see that you can redeem up to the number of adult and/or child meals as per your reservation (two adult and two child meals in your case). You can however purchase an additional child's meal for your little one.

One last tip: remember when you make dining reservations you still need to include the little one. If for some reason you forgot to include him or her, simply call the Dining Team at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 so they can adjust your reservation. Happy planning!
