Hi Moms! We're using the deluxe dining plan for our 1st time July trip, I'm wondering if I can use Disney gift cards for gratuity charges at sit down meals instead of charging tip to a credit card or tipping with cash? We are traveling in a party of 12!

    Hi Janice!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  It sounds like you are going to have a fabulous time on your first visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  With so many people you are sure to make memories that will last a lifetime!  My family and I love the Deluxe Dining Plan, and I am sure you will too.  With this plan you can experience so many fabulous dining options at Walt Disney World Resort.  If you can fit it in try to enjoy a Signature Dining meal and a Dinner Show, you will love them!

To answer your question, yes, you most certainly can use Disney Gift Cards to pay for gratuity at Table Service Dining locations while on Walt Disney World Property.  Simply give the Disney a Gift Card to the Cast Member at the end of your meal and they will take care of the rest.  Another option would also be to put the gratuity on your Key To The World Card (or MagicBand) and use your Disney Gift Card to pay the balance at the end of your vacation.  This is a great way to carry even less into the Theme Parks leaving your hands free to hold more important things like Mickey Bars and autograph books!

I hope you have a magical first vacation at Walt Disney World Resort Janice!  Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.  We are here to help!
