When using a Deluxe Dining Plan, each lunch and dinner will include an appetizer, an entrée, a desert and a nonalcoholic beverage. On the menu listing soups and salads and appetizers separately. Are the soups and salads considered appetizer?

Hello, John. Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We’re glad to help answer that for you!

I love the convenience Disney’s Dining Plans provide! With so many wonderful dining options, having the Dining Plan is the best way to explore and enjoy more of those delicious dishes and fun dining experiences all throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

I went ahead and called the Disney Dining line for you (407-WDW-DINE or 407-939-3463) and the friendly cast member informed me that the appetizers have to be listed as such. In other words, if there are soups and salads listed under the appetizer portion of the menu, then you are good to go! If not, they would be charged for separately.

I hope this helped answer your question. Please do come back and see us again soon!

One last tip: If you need some inspiration to get you started on some Advanced Dining Reservations, some favorites are ‘Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Morimoto Asia located in Disney Springs.

    Have a magical day!
