Hi Jaynee,
Welcome back to planDisney! It's great to hEAR from you again. I hope that all of your dreaming and planning about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation is adding some pixie dust to your days!
I'm happy to let you know that availability for the
Disability Access Service (DAS) is completely separate from
Disney Genie+. You're correct that some attractions may no longer offer Disney Genie+ return times later in the day; however, DAS simply allows Guests whose disability makes waiting in a traditional queue difficult the chance to spend their time waiting elsewhere. It basically just holds your place in line, and availability will not be impacted by Disney Genie+ at all, so feel free to use DAS throughout the entire day!
If you end up
preregistering for DAS, you'll be able to schedule one-hour windows to enjoy up to two attractions or experiences per day ahead of time. As soon as you enter the park, then, you'll also be able to use the handy dandy My Disney Experience app to request DAS return times, one attraction at a time. One thing my family likes to do is request a return time for an attraction that typically has a longer wait time (like
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or
Frozen Ever After) right before we sit down for a meal. By the time we've finished eating, we usually don't have much longer to wait!
Thanks for bringing another great question to us here at planDisney, Jaynee, and please feel free to keep them coming! I can't wait for you and your family to experience another magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I hope all of your Disney dreams come true!
Missy
