when using a DAS Pass, can you get a return time on any ride just ones that offer fastpass?

    Aarika,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family has gratefully used the Services for Guests with Disabilities including Disability Access Service for the past several years. To use the service, we have always signed up with a Cast Member at the first theme park we visit on our trip. Once registered for the service, either member of our party can request a return time at a ride or attraction but when we return to experience that attraction, the person assigned the Disability Access Service must scan through the FastPass+ line first. When signing up for the service, the Cast Member will verify how many members of your party can connect to the individual with the service so that you can ride together.

Although we have been able to use the service for the vast majority of attractions we wanted to experience, there have been some exceptions. We have stopped by some character experiences and were unable to use it because those experiences did not have a FastPass+ queue. Having said that, we just recently were able to use the service for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, attractions that currently do not allow FastPass+. With Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, I requested a return time as soon as we entered the park. When we returned, we were allowed to go through a line separate from the standby queue. For Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, we still had to first join a boarding group for the attraction. When we returned for the ride, we were allowed to go directly to the attraction instead of having to wait in the return queue with other guests in our same boarding group. Our time actually in line for either attraction was no more than 10 minutes.

Keep in mind that guests can only have one active return time with Disability Access Service at a time. So although you can add a return time for a ride with Disability Access Service in addition to your FastPass+ selections, you can currently only add one return time at a time. We also work to minimize wait times in other ways - we arrive early to the parks, make advanced dining reservations, schedule special tours, utilize mobile food and beverage ordering, and do online check-in for our resort hotel so that we can go directly to our room upon arrival.

Remember that the Walt Disney World Resort is a magical yet busy place. Consider how your family will manage all of the lines. We absolutely use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to track our plans, find estimated transit times between locations, and to add or modify FastPass+ selections while in the parks. It might be helpful for you to contact Disability Services Directly at 407-560-2547 or via email at disability.services@disneyparks.com. Know also that the Cast Members have always been gracious and helpful during our visits and that procedures may change, so always double-check and ask if you have any questions while there!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
