how useful is it to have celebration listed on a dining reservation? does it serve a purpose? (checking in on my birthday) it is listed on our resort reservation

    Welcome BACK, Nicole!

It's great to see you asking another great Walt Disney World Resort planning question. Thank you for thinking of us throughout the yEARs!

Happy upcoming Birthday! You certainly picked a great place to celebrate. Mickey and his pals LOVE recognizing their guests' milestones and accomplishments, so I would say it's very useful indeed to list a celebration on this and every dining reservation you've made or will make. While I see that you've already notated your special day on your Disney Resort Hotel booking, Disney's table-service dining locations use a slightly different system for keeping track of their reservations which can't see certain pieces of info from your resort reservation. So to be on the safe side definitely add this happy event to your dining plans too.

Another way that Characters and Cast Members will know you're celebrating is by wearing a complimentary celebration button! These little beauties have been known to pack a bit of pixie dust, so wear it proudly throughout your whole trip if you'd like. Buttons can be acquired at your resort hotel, from most shops and stores, and even at Guest Relations.

Have you thought of other ways to celebrate you, or would you like to drop some serious hints to someone in your travel party? You could have a cake delivered to a dining reservation, suggest a gift be sent to your guest room, book a backstage tour for everyone or a spa treatment for just yourself. Happy Birthday indeed!

I hope this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Nicole, and We'll See You Real Soon!
