Hi there, Brandon! Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy, do I understand where you are coming from! As a Mom, sometimes there is just so much on my to-do list that I am just trying to check things off and end up doing things just like using the wrong card. I am in the same boat ... or since we are talking Disneyland, let's be in the same monorail ... with you!
While
tickets are technically not refundable or cancelable, I would go ahead and give our
Guest Services ticketing team a call. The good fairies over there are always happy to help walk a Guest through any ticketing issues and hiccups. Even in this digital age, sometimes good, old-fashioned person-to-person contact is the best way to try to resolve such issues. I would explain your situation directly and, hopefully, their pixie dust will help guide you to a resolution!
With your trip just a few weeks away, let's put some dates on your calendar!
Dining reservations will open up to you 60 days ahead of your trip, which is just around the corner on June 18th! If you are visiting for one day, I would recommend putting a midday reservation on your calendar, even if you end up changing your mind down the road. If you are going for multiple days, I would consider one reservation per day as well either midday or early evening. Most reservations can be canceled up to 24 hours ahead of time, but this gives you a guaranteed break from the sun and that park hustle and bustle. You would be surprised how invigorating a 45-minute air-conditioning break can fuel your second wind for the day! Some of my favorites are
Storytellers Cafe and
GCH Craftsman Grill, both located in
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Storytellers Cafe has sweeping ceilings and classic Craftsman architecture, and while it feels grand, it also feels casual and cozy. It's a great spot if you're with adults or if you have little Mousketeers with you. While the GCH Craftsman bar is outside, it is a covered area by the pool at the hotel, so you are instantly transported out of the parks and straight into resort vibes. The food is FANTASTIC, and there's just something about being near water that immediately calls for relaxation. Both of these options usually have availability and are a bit off-the-beaten path, which is why I love them. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being in the parks, but I also appreciate stepping out midday to catch my breath and maybe even let the magic find me!
Brandon, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to me directly or come back to see us here at
planDisney. Magic awaits!
