I used to visit the park before it was split into two I'm trying to plan a vacation and figure out just how much it will cost to take my grandkids to Disneyland and see the whole theme park

Hello there!  Thank you for stopping by planDisney with this great question.

How wonderful that you want to share your magical memories with your Grandkids, I can't think of a more magical trip!  Let's take a look at a few options so you can visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

I would start with exploring the Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Packages.  Staying onsite at a Disneyland Resort Hotel not only will give you access to a beautiful hotel room, amenities, and great dining, but will also allow you to bundle your hotel stay and theme park tickets together which is so convenient.  You'll have the option to pick your hotel and each Guest will receive a Disneyland Resort eTicket for 2-5 days (depending on package selection) with admission to one park per day.  For an additional fee, you can also upgrade to Park Hopper tickets, which is such a great option since you can easily hop between both parks to enjoy both in one day!

You can also explore Disney-approved Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Packages, there are many wonderful hotels in the area that are within walking distance to the theme parks.  We've done this many times, and we love to choose a hotel that also offers a free breakfast, it's a great way to save a little bit of money on the trip, as well as get the morning off to a great start!  This is a great option to compare with the Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package to see which one is the best fit for your family.

You will need to make a theme park reservation for each Guest for each day that you plan on visiting the parks.  If you decide to add on the Park Hopper option to your tickets, you can cross over to the other park starting at 11:00 AM, pending availability.  We love to stay for several days so we can take our time and explore the parks at our own pace.  I also highly recommend getting to the parks early and take advantage of those morning hours where the crowds typically are lower.

I hope this information was helpful for you as you plan this memorable trip for your family.  As the plans come together, please do not hesitate to come back and ask us any other questions!

    Adventure is out there!
