I have never used Uber/Lyft before at WDW and am curious where drop off points are at the parks? Also how early can a driver drop you off? If I want to get to the parks an hour before open how early can they get to the drop points?

    Welcome to planDisney, Debra!

Thank you for sending us your wondEARful question about ride-share services at Walt Disney World Resort. I am thrilled to learn you are already considering your available transportation options for your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You are doing a great job planning your vacation!

You may be happy to know that I have used both Uber and Lyft many times while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, after a long day at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, it is one of my favorite ways of getting back to my Disney Resorts Collection hotel or home.

Drop-off areas for Uber and Lyft at Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are conveniently located close to the main entrance of each theme park. They are clearly marked and most Uber and Lyft drivers know exactly how to access them. The drop-off area for Magic Kingdom Park is located at the Transportation & Ticket Center. Once you are dropped off, you will need to travel to the main entrance of Magic Kingdom Park via Monorail or Ferryboat.

Uber and Lyft drivers must use the regular entrance lanes and bypass the parking booths to enter the theme parks. During the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, drop-off restrictions have been put in place to better support physical distancing procedures. Most drivers will be allowed to enter the drop-off areas 30 minutes before theme park opening. If they arrive more than 30 minutes prior to theme park opening, they can expect delays in accessing the designated ride-share drop-off locations. If you wish to be at the theme park 1 hour before opening, you may want to use Walt Disney World Resort transportation options.

Helpful Reminder: All Guests ages 3 and up need both a valid Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket and Disney Park Pass theme park reservation to enter the theme parks. Don’t forget to make your theme park reservations as soon as possible, as they are subject to availability.

Debra, if you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you plan the “practically perfect” Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
