Hi there, Jose!
What a wonderful birthday gift! I’m sorry that plans to fully redeem that gift were interrupted. But I hope that you and your daughter can enjoy a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth soon.
To use your
theme park ticket, you will first need to verify if it is still valid. The easiest way to do that would be to link the ticket to your Disney account and attempt to book a
theme park reservation with the ticket. To link the ticket, I recommend using the
Disneyland mobile app. From the ☰ feature menu, tap into the “Tickets and Passes” screen. Then tap the “Link Tickets & Passes” button in the upper right corner of the screen. Scan the ticket barcode or enter the ticket ID. This process can also be done online from the "My Theme Park Reservations" page. After your ticket is linked, make a park reservation by tapping the ‘+’ menu in the app and selecting “
Make a Park Reservation.” Choose the ticket, date, and starting park for your visit.
If the ticket is no longer valid, there is a possibility that it may still be usable. If the ticket is not complimentary, does not state that it is ineligible for upgrade, and is wholly unused, you may take it to a main entrance ticket booth at the Disneyland Resort to upgrade it to a currently-valid ticket.
If the ticket is eligible, you will pay only the difference in price from what was originally paid for the ticket. If you wish to visit the theme parks that same day, be sure to check the
theme park reservation availability calendar beforehand to make sure there are still reservations available for your preferred theme park.
Well, it may be a little belated, but I would like to wish your daughter a happy birthday. And a
very merry unbirthday to you too, Jose!
