There used to be a program at select restaurants called "Junior Chefs". Does that still exist and if so, which restaurants?

    Hi Lane,

I know that the Junior Chefs program at The Land pavilion in Epcot no longer exists.  There also used to be opportunities for children to make dessert or toss a salad for their family at select restaurants like Boma.  Children were not actually permitted in the kitchen.  Instead, there was a separate area where they could do their "cooking."

Just recently, June 23 and 24, there was an opportunity for children ages 6-12 to be a chef for a day in Downtown Disney.  Children learned to make 3 different dishes at 3 different restaurants: Fulton's Crab House, Portobello Restaurant and Wolfgang Puck Cafe.  I believe this opportunity is only available once a year, but you can call 407-828-8996 for more information.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
