Hi there, Amanda!
Thanks for sending another great question to
planDisney. Let's discuss options for storing purchases while visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Back home, in the real world, I'm not much of a shopper. But something magical happens when I'm on vacation; I become Ariel. I want all the gadgets, gizmos, whozits, and whatzits galore! I've never met an ear headband or spirit jersey I didn't want to bring home. Like you, I really miss the service of sending theme park purchases back to my onsite hotel. It was fantastic! Unfortunately, we don't have any information on a potential return date for this perk but stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for updates. It's the best source for breaking news across all Disney destinations.
In the meantime, I'll share some strategies to avoid carrying souvenirs through the theme parks.
*Consider
renting a locker to store large items in during the day. Since lockers are located just inside the park entrances, you can easily retrieve your purchases on your way out at the end of the day.
*Save your shopping for the end of the day. Take pictures of the treasures you plan to buy, and return to the shop where you found them just before leaving the park. If the store is more crowded as closing time approaches, take advantage of
Merchandise Mobile Checkout when available.
*If you're shopping at
Disney Springs, consider using the
Guest Shipping Station in the Marketplace to send packages directly to your home for a fee.
I wish I had better news for you, Amanda, but hopefully, some of my tips help you shop again on your next trip. Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney, and we hope to see you again soon.
Have a magical day,
Betsy
