Hello! I have used a FP to make a res. at BOG for lunch. I have two ?'s: First, my son who is 2 and not part of the meal plan, do I order a meal for him? Secondly, since I was able to make the res. I assume it doesn't count toward my 3/day FP limit?

    Hi Brandy,

Congratulations on securing a FastPass+ invitation for Be Our Guest Restaurant!  You have some great questions.  First, it is up to you whether you would like to purchase any food separately for your 2 year old.  With the Disney Dining Plan, children under 3 are allowed to simply share your plate when you order from quick service or table service restaurants.  Therefore it depends upon your toddler's appetite whether you would like to order him some food.  When my children were young, I would not order very much food for them because the meal portions at Walt Disney World  are usually quite generous.  On the occasions when I would order something for my toddler I usually chose a small item such as a side dish of pasta, etc....  At Be Our Guest Restaurant however, I ordered my toddler his own cupcake since I knew I didn't want to share mine!  The cupcakes at Be Our Guest Restaurant are extraordinarily delicious.

You are correct that the FastPass+ selections made for Be Our Guest Restaurant do not count towards your initial 3 attraction FastPass+ selections that you may make.  Nor do they count towards the "rolling FastPass+ selections" if you secure additional FastPass+ selections after you have used your first 3.  The FastPass+ testing at Be Our Guest Restaurant is still in the test and adjust phase and is only available to Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Thank you for your question Brandy!  I have another tip for you for maximizing your Disney Dining Plan at buffet service restaurants:  children under 3 are free and may have their own plate and even drink!  Character meal buffets are even more of a bargain when using the Disney Dining Plan and dining with toddlers.

    Have a MAGICAL vacation!
