If I used Disney Transfers from WDW to the cruise terminal, do I need to wait until my scheduled boarding time to board?

Ahoy there, Melissa, and welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed our way with your question about Ground Transportation for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation in...

    *checks notes*

A WEEK?! Well enough with the pleasantries, let's get you your answer!

I honestly can't ever remember a time I did not reserve Ground Transportation through Disney Cruise Line - it makes things just so simple! Even better, I just so happen to have sailed last week after a stay at Walt Disney World Resort, so as of this message in a bottle, I've got the latest information possible!

During your Online Check-In process, you should have been prompted to select a Port Arrival Time, which is the only time you and your crew will be admitted to the port for the final checks needed for embarkation! The good news about Disney Cruise Line Ground Transportation from Walt Disney World Resort to Port Canaveral is that they have this timing down very smoothly. You'll be scheduled to be picked up at your pre-cruise stay resort at the correct time to allow you to finalize your embarkation steps! Speaking of smooth, you'll want to be sure you have your required Travel Documentation, and Port Arrival Form easily accessible since you'll need them a few times at the port!

When it comes to actually boarding the ship, be sure to check your Port Arrival Form for a boarding group number - it should be somewhere on the top of the screen or printout - and if there isn't one listed, don't worry, you'll be assigned one as you complete the in-person part of the check-in process.

Now, even those Guests who arrive using official Ground Transportation will have to wait for their boarding group to be called, but while you wait you can enjoy the updated Disney Cruise Line terminal which includes new seating and an opportunity to see that amazing scale model of a ship with all those neat cutaways,

I hope that helps answer your question, Melissa! Now you should be all set for smooth sailing as you head to the port in just a few days! Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question and if you have any others that bubble-up last minute, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

If I don't hear from you, have an incredible time making magical memories!
