Dave from MI Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I used a Disney Rewards gift card to purchase four 1-day park passes in 2020. Due to COVID, the park was closed on our scheduled day. Am I able to get the value of those passes put back onto a Disney Rewards gift card or credit them back to my account?

Hi there, Dave, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping us a line!

It's hard to believe that you purchased tickets in 2020 that you're looking to use in 2022, right? It's been a long few years, but I'm glad that the Magic never left your heart, and we can't wait to see you back at Walt Disney World Resort!

I have good news: the Magic continues for you and every Guest affected by the park closures! According to the Parks And Tickets: Know Before You Go information, any Guest with a wholly unused ticket who was unable to visit by September 26, 2021 has a few options:

    • You may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date, OR
    • Ticket Cancellation: If you do not want to use your ticket, you also have the option of cancelling your tickets. To discuss your options, please call the Disney Reservation Center.
Now, since you already converted your Disney Rewards Dollars to a Disney Rewards Redemption card, you won't be able to have them credited back to your account, so your best bet is to ask the Cast Member about other options when you call the Disney Reservation Center. The good news is no matter what you choose, you're still primed to get the value of the tickets you originally purchased!

So whether you decide to move your visit to later in summer 2022 to experience Guardians of the Galaxy - Cosmic Rewind, or use those funds to apply to something else entirely...perhaps a Disney Cruise Line vacation...the choice is yours!

Thanks again for stopping by planDisney with your question, Dave! I sure hope the four of you come up with the perfect plan for an incredible rescheduled visit! If you come up with any questions as your plans come into focus, be sure to drop us another line!

    TTFN, Ta Ta For Now!
