It has been a while since we used the dinning plan. We have 3 people in my party but one does not eat a lot can we use two meals at a table service meal and share instead of using all three?

Hey Howdy Hey Kate and welcome to planDisney!

When taking a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, purchasing the dining plan can be a great option. Making sure that all of your meals are paid for before arriving can take so much pressure off of the vacation experience. With the dining plan, one thing is for sure, you won't be leaving hungry! While there is a lot of food, there are ways to navigate the plan so everyone in your party can enjoy themselves and not overindulge. Let's go over some things to look for.

Kate, I am happy to inform you that in most cases, you are more than welcome to share a meal when on the dining plan. A few areas that this is not allowed are character dining, signature dining experiences such as Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom or pre-paid meals such as Cinderella's Royal Table also in Magic Kingdom. At locations such as Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom, you are more than welcome to order an entree and share it with another.

Don't forget that while on your trip, you can track your dining plan credits and make Mobile Order purchases right from your My Disney Experience app. Your Mobile Orders can be ones where you redeem a snack credit for items or use it as a quick service option. Keeping track of your credits or skipping the lines for a quick bite in between attractions is another great way to use your app to make your theme park experience much more enjoyable!

I hope you have a great vacation and enjoy all there is to Walt Disney World dining as the food in Disney is an attraction! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,

    Nick
