Hi there Amy!
The
Deluxe Disney Dining Plan is certainly a fantastic way to ensure plenty of options and variety for your family while dining at Walt Disney World's abundance of restaurants! I'm a big fan of the Deluxe plan myself.
In 2014, the Deluxe Plan features the same great inclusions you're used to from 2012. At a la carte, Table Service Dining, both the adults and children (ages 3-9) in your party will still enjoy an appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. I've included a link to a PDF download of the 2014 Deluxe Disney Dining Plan for you above.
The newer "Mickey Check Meals" are a healthier and more balanced meal option for kids. You'll find that each Table Service Location will generally feature several Mickey Check Meals as well as a variety of a la carte options for kids. If selecting a Mickey Check Meal, the appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage are all a part of the 1 meal you'll order. If you select to order a la carte, you'll select a Kids' Appetizer, Kids' Entree and Dessert each separately from the kids' menu options. I've included a link to the menu of one of my favourite Table Service dining locations,
Kona Café. At the top, select 'Dinner' under the Meal pull down menu and then select 'Kids' Appetizers' under the Menu pull down. You'll see a full listing of all kids' meal options offered at this single location including both a la carte options and Mickey Check Meals. You'll find a full description of each of these Complete Meals and notice that substitutions cannot be made with these special, balanced, nutritional meals.
I hope this information helps you out Amy.
Wishing you a simply Magical next visit to Walt Disney World!
