Ahoy there, Jessica! Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for sailing my way with your question about your upcoming cruise on the
Disney Fantasy! In just a few weeks you'll be getting ready to celebrate Halloween on the High Seas with Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, and all their friends! If I wasn't sailing in September, I'd sure think about stowing away on a sailing like yours!
When it comes to USB wall chargers, my best advice is to use your best judgment. If you mean a small power brick with two or maybe three USB ports, you should likely be ok, but if you're talking about rolling out the "long nines" (nautical term for a specific type of cannon, and in this case, one of those mega-USB chargers), I'd think twice about doing so.
While these aren't explicitly on the
Prohibited Items list, they may fall under the "power strips" classification. As with most electronics, I'd suggest packing them in your carry-on luggage to take with you through security, knowing that there is a possibility they could be flagged for review by the ship's Electrical Officer, which could leave you...powerless...
Ok, that was a REALLY bad dad joke, but the good news is the Staterooms and many locations around the ship have USB charging ports built-in as well, though probably not as many as your crew is used to having handy.
I hope that helps you set a course for your packing list, Jessica! Oh, and don't forget that you're coming up on your
Online Check-In opening date, so be sure to start that process once your countdown hits 30 days (or more accurately, 29 days, 23 hours, and 59 minutes!) Thank you so much for your question, and if you have any others as your sailing approaches, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
