How many USB outlets are in a deluxe verandah stateroom on the Fantasy? Are there any USB-C ports? How many regular outlets are there?

    Ahoy there, Amanda!

Welcome aboard planDisney! I love this question because nothing says “prepared cruiser” quite like making sure every phone, tablet, and magic-making device is fully powered for the voyage ahead. Between photos on the verandah and checking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for trivia times and character greetings, those batteries work overtime.

When it comes to outlets in a Deluxe Oceanview with Verandah stateroom on the Disney Fantasy, the exact configuration can vary slightly from room to room, even within the same category. That said, let’s breakdown what you will typically find.

On one side of the queen bed, above the nightstand, there is usually one standard U.S. outlet and one European outlet. On the other side of the bed, you will generally find the telephone jack with your stateroom phone connected rather than additional outlets. Over at the desk and vanity area, you can typically expect two standard U.S. outlets, two European outlets, and two USB-A ports. If your stateroom has the split bathroom layout, there is generally one standard U.S. outlet in the bathroom area with the toilet.

As of the current setup on the Fantasy, there are not usually USB-C ports built into the stateroom. The USB ports provided are USB-A. If your crew runs on newer devices that use USB-C, I highly recommend bringing a power block that includes multiple USB-A and USB-C connections. Just be sure it does not have surge protection. Power strips or extension cords are not generally permitted onboard, and occasionally multi-outlet blocks can be denied if they do not meet the ship’s safety guidelines. I personally stick with compact USB-only charging hubs to keep things simple and compliant.

If you are charging your DisneyBand+, phones, cameras, and maybe even a cruise-approved portable fan, having a small charging station you bring from home can feel like your own little power-up station straight out of Wreck-It Ralph. It keeps everything organized and avoids the nightly game of musical outlets.

I hope this helps as you prepare your tech for smooth sailing. With the right setup, your devices will stay charged and ready for every sunset photo and onboard adventure. May your batteries stay full, your cords stay untangled, and your verandah moments be picture-perfect from embarkation to disembarkation.

Sea ya real soon with a little extra warmth, wonder, and Disney magic,
    Dustin
