Thanks for cruising by with your question, Anne. I'm glad you're here.
With gadgets and gizmos aplenty, my family always needs a central area to charge our electronics whenever we travel. Unfortunately, Anne, what was described
might not pass muster with the
Disney Cruise Line Chief Electrician on embarkation day. Specifically, any "extension cords, power strips, multi-plugs and surge protectors" are prohibited from being brought on board and will be confiscated during the security screening process. (Don't worry, they get returned when you disembark!) Because your USB hub has a long cord, I think it would be safer to leave it at home.
Anne, all hope is not lost. My family has successfully used a USB wall charger on a Disney Cruise. Unlike an extension cord or surge protector, it has no long cord but can still charge multiple devices at once. Also,
Disney Cruise Line staterooms come with plenty of USB charging ports and standard outlets that you can use to charge your devices. When I went on a solo cruise in December, I didn't even get out my USB wall charger since there were plenty of USB ports. Huzzah!
I hope this information helps with your planning, Anne. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Bon Voyage,
Melissa
