We (us & 3 young kids) have a "down day" (no park) during our visit. Where are some favorite quick-service restaurants to visit (breakfast and lunch) NOT in the parks? We're staying in POFQ, so somewhere other than that would be great.

    Hi Andrea,

Like you, I always plan a relaxing day outside the parks during our Walt Disney World vacations.  We use those days to enjoy the resort pool, shop at Downtown Disney, or explore other Disney resorts.  These are great ways to recharge your batteries between theme park days.

My favorite quick-service restaurants outside the parks are Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney, Gasparilla Grill & Games at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, the Pepper Market at Disney Coronado Springs Resort, and Capt. Cook's at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  My all-time favorite quick-service restaurant outside the theme parks, though, is Roaring Fork at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  They have the best Mickey waffles for breakfast and incredible salads and flatbreads later in the day.  Then, after a meal at Roaring Fork, my family spends a few hours enjoying the beauty of Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  It makes for a wonderful day at Disney!

Thanks so much for a great question!  I love sharing tips about dining at Walt Disney World.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
