There are 12 of us visiting Disney (2 are infants younger than 2). how can we make dinner reservations when most places won't take them for 12 people? Is there any way to make 2-6 person reservations at the same time on the same My Disney plan?

    Hiya Debbie!

Thank you so much for sending us your question, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! Debbie, I am so excited for you and your family to visit and create the most magical memories real soon. How excited are you? Plus, you have picked such a magical time to visit with the 50th anniversary in full swing and right in time for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival.

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your family can lead to some of the most memorable and special moments, but it can also be challenging! It can be difficult to arrange dining reservations for a larger party, but thankfully there are a few tips and tricks that might help you! Firstly, you can make two separate reservations for smaller parties. While they might not be available at the same time, you might be able to get two that are only a few minutes apart, and you should still be able to be seated at the same time. In fact, some Cast Members might recommend splitting up your group in this way as it gives you more options for dining reservations! Second, if you are having issues finding reservations on the My Disney Experience app or website, there is a phone number specifically for families like yours! If you call (407) 939-1942, a lovely Cast Member specializing in making reservations for bigger parties will be able to assist you. Cast Members truly are real-life fairy godparents, and I always turn to them when I have questions or need help!

In addition, I would recommend that the adults in your group all download the My Disney Experience mobile app on their iPhones, iPads or Android smartphones, as this will help you make plans for your entire group more easily. For example, it might be easier to split up mobile food orders or to make separate Disney Genie+ selections if part of your group wants to go on a ride while others do not. Lastly, having the mobile app will ensure that everyone has access to your itinerary to find each other again should you separate for any reason.

I hope this was helpful, Debbie, and that you and your family will have the most wonderful time together at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your magical visit, don't hesitate to reach out! We are always happy to help, and we cannot wait for you and your family to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Have a magical day, and I am sending you all the pixie dust,
