Hi, 12 of us will be traveling to Disney for Christmas and we will be in Epcot on Christmas Day. Will the restaurants have a fixed price meal or will you be able to order off the menu?

    Hi Lisa,

    Welcome to planDisney!

Planning a trip during the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort makes me quite happy, so I can imagine the excitement in your household as you prepare for your trip! First, let me make sure that you have booked a vacation package and/or purchased theme park tickets. You will need a vacation package or theme park tickets (at least) linked in your My Disney Experience account so that you can make Disney Park Pass system reservations for each person in your party.

Now, on to your question. Menus and pricing vary by restaurant. To check the restaurant menus and pricing, just go to the home page of each restaurant and click on the link to View Menu. One of our favorite restaurants, for example, is Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT. You can view the lunch or dinner menu, check food selections, and pricing. To find all restaurants in EPCOT, check the restaurant reservation list and then filter by EPCOT.

With a party of 12 you will definitely want to make advanced dining reservations. Looking at your arrival date, you are already within your dining reservation window. Given the size of your party, you will probably need to divide your party into two or three smaller groups to make reservations. Since you will want to make those reservations around the same time, each reservation will need a different lead Guest. If you are able to get reservations within 15 minutes of one another, once you arrive at the restaurant, ask the Cast Members if they can seat you together. Although not guaranteed, when we have asked to be seated together in the past, Cast Members have done their best to accommodate our request.

Lisa, planning for a large group can be fantastic and trying at the same time. One last tip - if you have not considered Memory Maker, I recommend it! With it, you will get digital access to your Disney PhotoPass photos and, with a group as large as yours, you will want to save those memories! I am sending you some pixie-dusted patience trusting that you will plan the most magical trip!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
