Morgan from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi! I only have a US passport, not a CA dl. My passport is registered in CA under my address in SoCal but I noticed today the passport itself doesn’t have an address printed on it. Will I still be able to use it as my form of ID for the SoCal pass?

    Hi Morgan,

Welcome to planDisney! I am happy to help clarify some of the finer points of the SoCal 3-day ticket that Disneyland is offering. When you purchase the ticket online or through the Disneyland app, you will need to verify your address to prove you live in the area. Make sure your Southern California address is linked to your MyDisney account. When you arrive at the park, a Cast Member will need to verify your valid government photo ID. Unfortunately, your passport would not have enough information listed on it to qualify. Even things like a utility bill or a phone bill, will not be accepted.

Morgan, I know that might not be the news you want to hear, but don’t lose heart, there are still ways to enjoy the Disney magic without heading into the park. Consider strolling through Downtown Disney, grabbing a bite to eat, and listening to some good music. My tried and true recommendation is Ballast Point. I can not wait to try their seasonal lobster roll and cider. If you have a late night dinner there, you can even see the Disneyland fireworks from the back of the balcony! My little one loves to play with other kids in the green space in front of the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage as I sit back and listen to the evening's performances. She gets her wiggles out and I get to relax.

Disney magic is everywhere Morgan, so don’t let this be a setback. The SoCal 3-day ticket is currently offered through May 15, 2025, so there might still be time to get a California ID. Regardless, keep an eye out for any other offers or discounts Disney might offer. Fingers crossed that Disneyland magic is still in the near future for you!

I hope this was helpful advice, Morgan. If you have any other questions or need help planning a magical trip, please feel free to write back to me or my fellow panelist, and we would be happy to share our thoughts.

    Best of luck!
