Ahoy there, Caitlin! Dining on a Disney Cruise is one of my favorite topics, so I’m so glad you sailed by planDisney with this question.
I truly love each of the
rotational dining experiences, not just for the delicious dishes offered, but because of the incredible service we receive from the dining staff. With that in mind, while it isn’t required to let anyone know that you won’t be eating in those restaurants, the best practice would be to let the dining team know once you board. This would also allow them to accommodate another Guest who may be looking to switch up their assigned dining time.
This is another reason I prefer sailing on itineraries of 5 nights or longer because it allows me to experience each of the rotational dining restaurants AND book a special dining experience, like
Palo, without feeling like I’ve missed one of the unique menus. You may even decide to spend a night eating on your balcony after ordering from the
complimentary room service menu. And don’t forget the fun, fast-casual options on the pool deck. My favorite is Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue on the
Disney Wish (secret tip: you won’t find sweet potato fries on the line, but if you ask for them, they will magically appear on your tray!).
No matter where you decide to dine, rest assured you will be treated like royalty and eat like a queen. If you need any other recommendations, I hope you’ll sail back to us here at
planDisney before your trip!
Bon voyage,
Sami
