Howdy, Michelle!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for moseying over with an excellent
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question.
Yeeeee-haw! I'm thrilled to hear your club of cowpokes will be convening at The Most Magical Place on Earth for Nana's exciting birthday celebration! I'd be happy to help you plan for a rootin' tootin' good time.
Michelle, a multigenerational family vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort is an extra special type of trip. You're in luck, because in The Most Magical Place on Earth, folks of
all ages can become kids at heart!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is going to be a rowdy riot for everyone in your travel party, and Nana will likely get a special shoutout, being a birthday girl and all! While you're visiting Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, I encourage you to attend
Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long if your schedule allows. It'd be the perfect way to cap off Nana's special day with a dash of Disney magic! If you'll be there during the daytime, you could visit
Tri-Circle-D Ranch as well, to say "hay" to the Happiest Horses on Earth. The stable is open to the public between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Another fun-filled family activity that comes to mind is putt-putting at one of the fantastic miniature golf courses on property! Your group can choose between
Winter Summerland (my family's personal favorite!) and Fantasia Gardens and Fairways. I recommend calling the
Tours, Recreation phone line ahead of time for reservations, if possible, since you'll be traveling in a larger herd!
When you're ready to round up some grub, head over to Disney Springs, Michelle! There are
loads of terrific dining options there - and something to suit everyone's fancy. Non-adventurous eaters will find fast and familiar flavors at Earl of Sandwich, D-Luxe Burger, and
Chicken Guy!. If you're able to secure a reservation (or several smaller reservations, if unable to find seating for all 11 together), I recommend
The BOATHOUSE. This place offers an expansive menu, gorgeous lakefront views, and awesome ambiance!
Remember, Guests attending
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party can begin entering Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m. on party nights - a whopping three hours before the special event even starts! I encourage your travel party to arrive early to maximize the magic during that day. There are lots of great food options available in Magic Kingdom Park, too. From
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe to Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café, everyone will be able to belly up to the table for something satisfying!
Michelle, I hope you've found each of these suggestions helpful and I wish your group a trip filled with hoots and hollers. (A big "happy birthday" to Nana, too!) If you have any more questions before your visit, you can always trot back to see us here at
planDisney! We're here to help your family create lasting memories in The Most Magical Place on Earth.
So long partner,
Lauren
