Hi moms: There will be 9 of us at Epcot looking to go to DTD for dinner reservations at Rainforest Cafe. I saw where you can walk but am wondering if that is the best/fastest way and how long of a walk it is. Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

It sounds like you have a fun vacation planned. A day at Epcot followed by dinner in Downtown Disney is a great choice.

You can't walk to Rainforest Cafe from Epcot. If you are going straight from the park you'll need to head to a resort first and then transfer buses. If you are staying on property, my suggestion would be to head back to your own resort room for a couple of hours to freshen up, swim, or relax and then take the bus to Downtown Disney.

If you feel like this will take up too much time, and you just want to go directly from Epcot to the restaurant then I recommend walking or taking the boat launch to Boardwalk Inn and then transferring to a bus from there. To get to Boardwalk you'll need to exit Epcot through the International Gateway located near the entrance to World Showcase. Once you get to Boardwalk Inn, you'll walk through the lobby to the front of the building where the bus stop is located. It will probably take about 45 minutes to get from Epcot to Downtown Disney.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
