There are 5 of us going to disneyland california. 2 adult and 3 kids. We have purchased the LL pass but it looks like each person is responsible for scanning their own ticket. Can I print off tickets and put in lanyards for the kids to scan?

Hi there, Tamara, and welcome to planDisney! What a special visit you have coming up (so soon!) with your family! There's no better place, in my opinion, to experience the magic of family and togetherness than the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm so excited for you!

Thanks for stopping by with this great question about Lightning Lanes! My family loves to zip past those standby lines on popular attractions, so we can experience more on our visit to Disneyland. Guests 3-years-old and older require, not only, their own theme park ticket and park reservation but also their own Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, as it will be attached to their ticket. To answer your question, every Guest must scan a Lightning Lane to enter the attraction in that dedicated queue, however, this can all be done in the Disneyland app from one phone. No lanyards needed!

My husband is usually the one who handles reserving our Lightning Lanes (I get distracted by the latest Disneyland treats) and then when it's time for us to experience the attraction, he'll scan all of us in who are riding. It's very smooth and easy!

Another option you may want to consider, Tamara, is purchasing a MagicBand+ for each member of the family, especially for the kids. It's so convenient (and fun!) for kids to tap themselves into the park, as well as redeem their Lightning Lanes, as each band is linked to a specific theme park ticket. They'll love the freedom it brings. My son also loved bounty hunting in Galaxy's Edge recently with his MagicBand+!

Currently, it doesn't look like MagicBand+ can be delivered internationally to Canada, unfortunately, but there's always the option to purchase upon arrival. My family loves spending time in Downtown Disney on the night of our arrival to experience some of the magic before diving into the parks the next day and World of Disney would be an easy stop to pick up a few MagicBands!

Then, once you're ready to zoom into the fast lane, here are a few of my Lightning Lane Tips:

*As soon as you enter the park, use the Tip Board in the Disneyland app to choose a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction and book the next available time to ride it. Make a reservation for one attraction at a time (for each person) OR after two hours have passed, whichever comes first.

*I suggest you set yourself a reminder on your phone to make sure you reserve a Lightning Lane every two hours! This way you'll maximize your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and experience more on your Disneyland day, because you'll be stacking up those Lightning Lanes!

There's so much more I'd love to share, Tamara, like great spots to take a break with kids and food recommendations for even the pickiest of eaters, or if you'd like tips on getting your MagicBand+ set up and linked, please feel free to stop by again and ask me another question! I'm always happy to chat about the Happiest Place on Earth.

I sincerely hope you have the most magical visit with your family, Tamara!

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
