Hi Erin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hear that you're looking into an itinerary that's setting sail out of
Vancouver! I've taken two Disney Cruises that departed from the beautiful port of Vancouver and loved being onboard the ship during the Sail Away Celebration while seaplanes flew overhead. It made sailing towards adventure extra magical!
Thank you for asking this important question. If you are setting sail on a roundtrip itinerary that leaves from and returns to Vancouver, and will be driving to and from this departure port, a valid U.S. Passport Card will be accepted as proof of citizenship for your Disney Cruise. If you are looking at a repositioning cruise, where it ends in a different port than where it started, you would need a valid U.S. Passport book. Before setting sail, I recommend taking a look at the
Passports & Travel Documentation information on Disney Cruise Line's website so you're sure to have the most current information!
Whenever we sail out of Vancouver, we enjoy spending a couple extra days there prior to embarkation day. Not only is the city beautifully located right along the water, it has amazing restaurants and shopping, too! The Olympic Cauldron from the 2010 Olympic Games is located right near the Cruise Terminal and makes a great family photo spot!
Erin, if you have any other questions prior to your cruise, please come back and visit us again!
