    Do I have to be an US citizen to buy an annual pass?

    Hi Ingrid, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I am happy to tell you that you do not need to live within the United States in order to purchase a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass. In fact, I am an Annual Passholder and live in Canada.

    Currently there are two main types of Annual Passes: the Disney Platinum Pass and the Disney Platinum Plus Pass. Both Passes include annual admission to all four Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, complimentary Theme Park parking, Disney Photopass downloads, complimentary Magic Bands and Passholder communications and eligibility for various Passholder Benefits, including special discounts and offers on dining, merchandise, Resort stays and more.

    The difference between the Disney Platinum Pass and the Disney Platinum Plus Pass is that the Plus Pass also includes annual admission to the two Water Parks, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

    If you happen to be a Disney Vacation Club member, you also have the option of purchasing a Disney Gold Pass, which includes all of the same privileges as a Disney Platinum Pass subject to some blackout dates during peak holiday periods. 

    In honor of the Walt Disney World Resort's 45th anniversary, Passholder Benefits have been enhanced and are currently better than ever! It is therefore a great time to become a Passholder!
