Hi there, Lysandra!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With a Disney Cruise Line vacation coming up soon, I know you must be excited! The Disney Dream will not disappoint; I have yet to see the newest live Broadway-style show,
“Beauty and the Beast”, but knowing how wonderful the other live productions are, I am sure it will be phenomenal!
Guests sailing to the Bahamas and departing from Port Canaveral are not currently required to have a United States Passport, but are required to show proof of citizenship. If you
do not hold a valid U.S. Passport, you may provide proof by showing a Government-issued photo ID along with one of the following:
Original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate
Original Consular Report of Birth Abroad issued by the Department of State
Original Certificate of Naturalization issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Please note that aside from the state-issued birth certificate, copies are not permitted and hospital-issued birth certificates are not accepted, either. Children under the age of 16 traveling with their parents may use a birth certificate as proof of citizenship.
With your sailing approaching so soon, it may be tough to get a Passport, but I highly recommend getting one if at all possible. Although not currently required by Disney Cruise Line, it always puts my mind at ease to know we have ours in case of an emergency while traveling. Many times you can get a passport issued with a quick turnaround with proof of upcoming travel!
Wishing you a wonderful and magical adventure at sea with Captain Mickey!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
