Welcome to planDisney, Claudia!
My family and I visited the Disneyland Resort last summer and had the joy of watching both
Fantasmic! at Disneyland Park and World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park. Wow! What powerful, moving, and beautiful shows!
The water fountains in World of Color are simply mesmerizing. There's something so magical about seeing Pixar Pier lit up in the distance too. I haven't seen
World of Color - ONE yet, however, I hear it's fantastic.
Claudia, I understand your trepidation about having to stand for a long time. Therefore, I would recommend finding a good viewing spot for both shows nice and early. For World of Color - ONE, I would say turn up an hour beforehand and hunker down by the railings. You can sit on the floor and wait until the show begins. For Fantasmic!, I would find a spot 90 minutes before it begins. That way, you won't have anyone in front of you and you can sit and relax as you wait. Once the show begins, you can stand up and watch it.
Or here's an idea: On our most recent Disneyland adventure, my family booked a
Fantasmic! dining package. I really loved being able to take advantage of the reserved viewing location. Everyone in the reserved section has to sit down and so you don't have to worry about standing, even for the show. I would still show up an hour beforehand to grab a prime spot in the reserved viewing location.
You can do something similar with World of Color - ONE. There are
dining packages and a
dessert party, which offer special viewing spots. You pay a bit extra money, but I think it's worth it for the experience.
I hope that's helpful, Claudia! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
