Aloha, Stefanie!
It looks like you’re trading in tropical trees for towering Alaskan pines and glaciers. As you sail through the stunning landscapes and explore the rich wilderness, keep an eye out for whales, seals, bears, and eagles. I was amazed by all the wildlife we saw.
Having some Canadian currency is helpful if you are staying in
Vancouver before or after your cruise. Most places also take credit cards. When we departed our hotel for the port, I apologized to the porter that I only had U.S. dollars for a tip. He cheerfully accepted them and assured me it was no problem at all.
Gratuities on the ship are in U.S. dollars and will automatically be applied to your onboard account towards the end of the cruise. You can add cash to the tip envelopes provided to recognize your Dining Room Server, Assistant Server, Head Server, and Stateroom Host’s fantastic service. I also like to keep a few dollars on hand to tip for
room service.
I hope you fall in love with Alaska and the Disney Wonder! The Broadway-style shows, themed dining experiences, and character meet-and-greets help bring the Disney magic to life. If you hope to snap a photo with Captain Mickey in his Alaskan attire, be sure to line up early!
Thank you, Stefanie, for stopping by planDisney with your question. Have a wonderful vacation!
SEAS the adventure!
