There are 3 of us going to Disneyland/California Adventure. Right now, all of our tickets are on my phone. Can I book Lightning Lane for 2 of us on one ride and 1 of us on another? Or does the entire group have to go at the same time?

Hi there, Karen! I am so excited for your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Thank you so much for bringing your Lightning Lane question to planDisney. Helping Guests plan magical days at Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite things to do, and I am so happy to help you get everything clarified.

You've picked one of my favorite times of the year to visit Disneyland Resort, and there is so much fun waiting for you. But first, let’s jump right into your great planning question. Yes, you can absolutely book separate Lightning Lanes for members of your party. When you book a Lightning Lane through the Disneyland mobile app, you will first choose the attraction you want to experience. From there, the app will prompt you to select which members of your party you would like to include. You can easily choose the two Guests who want to ride together, then repeat the process for the remaining party member and their chosen attraction. It is a great way to keep everyone happy while still making the most of your time in the parks.

Karen, I know you mentioned that all of the tickets are currently on your phone. Each member of your party can link their, and each others, tickets to their own phones, if you wanted to, which makes it even easier for anyone to book Lightning Lanes for themselves or for the group. To do this, open the Disneyland mobile app and tap the three lines in the bottom right corner. Select My Tickets and Passes, then tap the blue plus sign and choose Link Tickets. From there, you can scan, tap, or manually enter the ticket IDs to link them. I recently traveled with 17 of my best Disney pals, and we added all our tickets to each of our apps. It made selecting Lightning Lanes and planning our next moves easy and smooth!

Now, let’s talk about March, because you are visiting during an especially exciting time at the Disneyland Resort. The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival will be in full swing, and it is a must do if you enjoy discovering new flavors. There are delicious food and beverage offerings all throughout the park, along with cooking demonstrations, and experiencing all the Festival has to offer is a great way to add to the magic of your visit. A Sip and Savor Pass can be a great option if you want to sample a variety of bites and beverages. Beginning March 22, 2026, you can also look forward to meeting Bluey and her sister Bingo at the Fantasyland Theatre. This interactive experience is full of music, laughter, and playful moments that is sure to be fun for the whole family. You will also be visiting during the Disneyland 70th Celebration! Check out this guide for all the special things to see and do during this celebration of seven decades of Disneyland! With so much going on during your visit, you will leave with memories that will last a lifetime!

If you have any more questions as you continue planning, Karen, I am always happy to help!

Wishing many magical memories to you!
