Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, David!
After
Ariel defeated Ursula at the end of The Little Mermaid, life really was the bubbles for your granddaughter’s favorite mermaid and her friends! My son, who is a huge Ursula fan, is convinced that the Sea Witch is hiding somewhere in the mysterious fathoms below, waiting for her moment to capture more poor unfortunate souls, but Ursula has not been spotted greeting Guests at Walt Disney World Resort. I think her invitation to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party must have gotten lost in the sea-snail mail.
While you won’t spot Ursula at
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, your granddaughter can meet Ariel and Prince Eric at
Prince Eric’s Village Market in Fantasyland. This is a fun opportunity to meet the two of them together and talk a little about their adventures together. When I attended the party last year, my friends and I rode
Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid several times in a row, which is a great opportunity to see the story of the movie come alive and dance and sing along.
Outside of the party, your granddaughter won’t want to miss the
Voyage of the Little Mermaid show at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is a great live show, and Ursula does make an appearance here. You can also spot Eric and Ariel, as well as some other moments from The Little Mermaid, during
Fantasmic! Another really fun option is the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at
Trattoria al Forno on Disney’s BoardWalk, where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and meet Ariel, Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider. You might also want to visit
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, where there is a giant Ursula in The Little Mermaid section.
David, I hope you have a spook-tacular time at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Your granddaughter might have fun dressing up as Ursula or Ariel for the party, and you could get some great photos to remember this special time when The Little Mermaid is such a big part of her world!
Enjoy every magical moment!
Boo to you and happy Halloween,
Robyn
