I was uploading our disneyland tickets so I could make reservations and did not realize that one of the tickets was for my son and I put it in my name. Do I need to change the name on his ticket?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Crystal. We're so glad you stopped by with your question and it's my pleasure to help.

Oh boy! Your visit to the Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it and I'm super excited for you. You will need a valid theme park ticket and theme park reservation for entry into both of the parks, and it sounds like you're on your way there. Hakuna matata, Crystal. This is absolutely not a problem and I've in fact done this very thing just last week. I purchased a ticket for my husband under my account and forgot to change the name to his and we had no problems at the entrance.

When the Cast Member scans the ticket for entry they will take your son's picture and that will serve as the identification for the ticket holder for the entirety of your visit. Any time that you enter or re-enter the parks, the Cast Member will look at the picture taken to verify that he is the ticket holder.

Now that we have that settled, you can start thinking about what to do and what to eat (my favorite). Have you thought about making any dining reservations for table service restaurants? Advance dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance and it looks like you are within that window for your visit. One of my favorite table-service breakfast spots in Disneyland Park is Carnation Cafe - it's also a great lunch spot (I dream about the fried pickles).

The Disney100 Celebration is also in full swing and there will be no shortage of festive things to do during your time at the Disneyland Resort. If don't already, I recommend downloading the Disneyland app before your visit. There's a handy guide to the celebration on the home screen.

Crystal, I hope this is helpful and puts your mind at ease for your upcoming visit. Please come back and share any other questions you have with us. I wish you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
